MILLBROOK

Spring Fling Country Breakfast

7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 8360 Fox River Drive. All-you-can-eat meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, coffee and juice. A donation of $8 is requested.

11th annual Village of Millbrook Spring Fling

2 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 2. Event includes village-wide garage sales, a car show and pig roast at 3 p.m., egg drop competition at 4 p.m. and line dancing at 7:30 p.m. Clowns, balloon art, face painting and kids’ games will be ongoing.

NORWAY

Taste of Norway

8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Norway Community Building on Route 71. Breakfast benefits the Norsk Museum in Norway. Menu includes fried kumla, Norwegian waffles, ham, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs with chives, fresh fruit and coffee cake. Tickets in advance cost $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 8. Tickets at the door cost $10 for adults and $7 for children. The Norsk Museum on Route 71 will be open. Admission is free. Donations are accepted. Movie Night

6:30 to 8:25 p.m. Monday, June 4, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. “Wonder,” the inspiring story of a boy with facial differences, will be shown. Rated PG.

Messy Munchkins

10:30 to 11:15 a.m. or 6 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Little ones can squish and smush their way to the benefits of messy play with us. Children can enjoy as many of the activities as they’d like and stay for as little as 10 minutes or the full 45 minutes. For ages 0-6, with a grown-up. Free Movie for Kids

New Life for Old Bags

10:30 a.m. toánoon the second Saturday of each month –ánext, June 9 – at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Volunteers turn discarded plastic shopping bags into plastic yarn to be crocheted into sleeping mats for the homeless. Donations of plastic bags can be left at the library. Swing Dance

Cornerstone Church Food Pantry

Adult Craft Night

Celebration

Sunday, June 3, at Indian Creek Middle School, 335 E. Garfield St. Waterman Police Chief Charles Breese is retiring after 37 years of service. A luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. A donation of $5 per person is requested for the luncheon. Proceeds will go to the local Waterman Boy and Girl Scout troops.
