Cruise Night

5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in downtown Earlville. Activities include door prizes, 50/50 raffle, vendor booths, DJ, food and event T-shirts. Dash plaques available for the first 200 vehicles as well as goodie bags.Twenty-five vehicles will be randomly selected for a free professional photograph. Bluegrass Jam Session

6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 8360 Fox River Road. Enjoy an evening of bluegrass music performed by local performers on banjo, guitar, violin, mandolin and bass cello, both solo and in small groups. Refreshments available.

Men’s Breakfast

7:30 a.m. the fourth Sunday of the month – next, May 27 – at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 8360 Fox River Road. Each month includes a speaker who presents on topics of interest to the community. Scrap Metal Collection

Stone Mill Museum Hours

1 to 4 p.m. Sundays at the Stone Mill Museum, 315 E. Railroad St. The museum is filled with is filled with local memorabilia, settings of rooms with antique furniture, farm tools and items that were manufactured locally. Members of the Sandwich Historical Society act as hosts, guiding visitors to areas of special interest. No admission, however donations are appreciated.

Fair City Quilters

Pint-Sized Prom

6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 S. Main St. Ages 3 and older can put on their best outfit or costume and come to the library for a night filled with music, dancing, treats and fun. Registration required.

Kayak Trip

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 25, on the Rock River. Day trip of paddling includes transportation, kayak, paddle, life preserver and guide. Attendees should bring a sack lunch and wear weather appropriate clothing. Minimum age to participate is 12. School is out that day. Families wanting to bring children younger than 12 can use a canoe, just make sure this is requested when registering. Cost is $25 a person. Call 815-786-8044 to register.

Yorkville Big Band
