Youth can try something new, develop specialized skills and express their creativity this spring break with Kendall County 4-H workshops.
Six interactive art workshop topics will be offered during the week of March 25, with a variety of projects to inspire creativity, community service and self-expression.
“We want to help youth explore their artistic side and make great memories this spring break,” said Kim Eisnaugle, University of Illinois Extension 4-H program coordinator. “Each session will provide hands-on experience with skill development in mind.”
Techniques explored in the workshops include multimedia art for texture and depth, using a heat gun to make wax art, quilting for a community service project, developing an understanding of cartooning and sketching, learning to capture moments with artistic journaling, and personalizing a home preparedness kit.
Dates, times and costs vary by workshop, and all will be located at the Extension office in Kendall County, 7775B Illinois Route 47, Yorkville. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, contact the Kendall County office at 630-553-5823 or email@example.com at least two weeks prior to the workshop.
