Open Roads ABATE of Illinois Chapter hosted its fifth annual Pool Tournament and Chili Cook-off on Feb. 24 at Plano Hometown Lanes.
Several people participated in the pool tournament, with Mike Spangler winning the top spot, followed by Kevin Rife. Cash prizes were awarded.
The chili cook-off competition had several varieties of chili entered for judging. Phyllis Johnson won with her prize-winning recipe, followed by Cliff Oleson and Bill Kolb. Cash prizes were awarded.
"Thanks to everyone who participated in the Pool Tournament and Chili Cook-off," said a news release from the club. "Special thanks to Mike Spangler and Ralph Torres for coordinating the pool brackets and to Dean and Denise Krause with Plano Hometown Lanes for providing excellent accommodations for these events."
The next Open Roads ABATE of Illinois Chapter meeting is at 6 p.m. April 28 at the Plano American Legion Post 395, 510 E. Dearborn St. in Plano.
