New Year’s Day Hike

10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, at Hoover Forest Preserve 11285 Fox Road. Participants will hike for 90 minutes to two hours and learn about wild life, edible plants and identification of native plants. Dress appropriately for the weather and for hiking. Meet in the parking lot. Admission is three cans of soup.
