The Tri-County Kiwanis Club has completed a car as part of the Go Baby Go project at the local level. This project is to help children born with spina bifida. The disease may leave a child paralyzed or with difficult mobility concerns.

The objective is to retrofit battery-operated cars for toddlers who are unable to participate and interact with other children in their age range due to these mobility issues. The car enables them to join in on the playground and begin the socialization process.

Sandwich resident Addie Fichtel was the happy and excited recipient of the club’s project car. She and her parents, Jeannette and Tim, along with her large extended family, joined the Kiwanis at their meeting for the presentation.
