Men’s Breakfast

7:30 a.m. the fourth Sunday of the month – next, Nov. 26 – at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 8360 Fox River Road. Each month includes a speaker who presents on topics of interest to the community. Past topics have included taxes, senior citizen programs, political perspectives and conservation issues. Torsk Dinner

4:30 and 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Newark Fire House. Hosted by the Fern Dell Historic Association. The menu includes boiled Icelandic cod, red potatoes, a vegetable, coleslaw, dinner roll and dessert. The 1-piece dinner is $11, the 2-piece dinner is $13. Tickets are advance sales only. Friends of the Library Book Sale

Through Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. The sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. On Nov. 4, all items will be sold for $4 a bag (bags provided). All VHS tapes and audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.

Baked Potato Lunch
