The sixth annual Back to School BASH was held for Plano Community Unit School District 88 students and their families on Friday, Aug. 18, at Plano High School.
More than 700 students attended and more than 2,000 people total were on hand to visit the many community organizations participating with giveaways and information, free food, school supplies, bounce houses and music. All Plano students received a hot dog, chips and a drink sponsored by Plano Youth Tackle Football.
Purple and White Night scrimmages were held for football, soccer and volleyball with the cheerleaders interacting with the crowd cheering on the Reaper Teams.
The BASH event was sponsored by the Plano Community Unit School District 88 in partnership with Plano Youth Tackle Football, the Kendall County Health Department, Nandra Family Practice, Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital, Aurora University, Fox Valley Family YMCA, Waubonsee Community College, Rush Copley, Heartland Bank & Trust Company, National Hispanic International, Kendall County Outdoor Education Center, Plano Music Boosters, PHS Student Services, PHS Interact Club, Plano Christian Church, Plano Youth Athletic Association, Family Focus, Centennial Counseling, Kendall Area Transit, Parents and Teachers Together, PHS Thespians, PHS National Honor Society, and Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois.
