SANDWICH – The Indian Valley Theatre has announced its cast for the upcoming production of “Love, Lies and the Doctor’s Dilemma,” written by Michael and Susan Parker and directed by Christine Johnson.
The cast includes Dan Rosier as Sandy and Nick Miesuk as Chris (both from Yorkville), Matt Johnson as Vinny and Linda Whaley as Joan (both from Newark), Ali Smith as Rachael (Oswego), and Connie Cline as Olivia (Somonauk).
Joan and Sandy lead a quiet life, but Joan is on edge because her actress sister-in-law is coming to visit. Not only does her sister not know that she is living with the love of her life, she also doesn’t know they smoke marijuana.
Meanwhile, a mobster named Vinny has come to wait for Joan’s son Chris to collect money he owes to a bookie. All of this is topped off with a new and extremely clumsy neighbor, Rachael, who keeps coming over. In an effort to hide their relationship, Joan introduces Sandy as her psychiatrist. “The Doctor” is in. Has Joan created a monster? Everyone wants a session.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at the historic Sandwich Opera House, 140 E. Railroad St., in Sandwich. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door and can be purchased online at indianvalleytheatre.com or at the Opera House box office up to 30 minutes before showtime if seats are available.
