May Friendship Day

9:15 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. continental breakfast and program Friday, May 5, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 235 E. Lundy Lane. The program will be “Kindling New Fires of Love.” Pennies for the “Fellowship of the Least Coin” will be collected. Women attending should save a penny each time they say a prayer and bring them to the gathering.

Dickson-Murst Spring at the Farm

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at Dickson-Murst Farm, 2550 Dickson Road. Members of the Newark FFA will bring their project animals – horses, chickens, cows, pigs, sheep and goats. The event also includes displays of antique tractors and equipment, play yard, hayrides, food and FFA plant sale. The event will take place rain or shine. Friends of the Library Book Sale

Through Saturday, April 29, at the Plano Community Library, 15 W. North St. Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. On April 29, all items will be sold for $4 a bag (bags provided) and the sale will close at 2 p.m. All VHS tapes and audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.

Indian Valley Community Band

Indian Valley Community Band Spring Concert

American Legion Fish Fries
