Plano High School announces students, staff of the month for March

Plano High School recently announced its students and staff of the month for March.

PHS staff nominated students for Student of the Month for the month of March. Students are nominated for PRIDE behavior (Personal Responsibility, Respect, Involved Academically, Demonstrates safe behavior, and Excellence in what they do).

Some reasons for nomination include constant respect to staff and students, working well in groups and individually, mentoring other students, helping other students achieve greater scores, marked improvement in decision making and class participation, showing enthusiasm for activities, repairing computer equipment, showcasing model student behavior, going beyond expected requirements, and helping other students feel at ease.

Students of the Month for March are Jordan Heller, Kevin Barto, Hannah Little, Alan Kennedy, Mason Larsen, Chris Hog and Will Benson.

Students and administration nominated staff members for Staff Member of the Month for March. Reasons for nomination include going beyond helping students, going the extra mile in seeing our students succeed, being positive through adversity in classroom as well as extra-curricular groups, sharing specialized tools and supplies to other classrooms as needed, seeing the positive qualities in students, and going beyond helping teachers.

Staff Members of the Month for March are Jessica Dellorto, Joe Kampf, Andrew DeBolt, Mary Rose Coker, Angela Way and Jill Dopart.

Students and staff members received a certificate and a breakfast in their honor.

The staff and student of the month process is coordinated by Kate Collingbourne, social worker with Student Services at Plano High School. This process is part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) in place at Plano High School.
