Plano church hosts mobile food pantry

St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano will host the Joliet Diocesan Mobile Pantry on June 26.

PLANO – St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano has been chosen as a site for the Joliet Diocesan Mobile Pantry, offering food products for local families in need. Last month, they were able to help 209 families.

The Mobile Pantry has been made possible through a grant from Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet. to St. Mary Parish. On each Mobile Pantry day, they will offer nutritious food to families in need, including meat and produce from local farms and fresh baked goods and non-perishable food items from the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Wal-Mart, and Feed Our Hungry Neighbors.

The next Mobile Pantry day will be Thursday, June 26. For more information, call 630-552-3448.
