Blood drive set at Wildwood
SANDWICH — Someone very close to you may need blood. Area hospitals need 3,500 pints of blood every week. Help make sure blood will be available by donating on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The blood drive will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wildwood Community Room, 1 Birch Ave. in Sandwich. Heartland Blood Centers, Wildwood Community, and Wildwood Homeowners’ Association are sponsoring the drive.
For a preferred time, call Mike Husar at 815-498-9961 or visit www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Donors are asked to eat a good meal before donating. And, as a small incentive, Target is giving a $10 gift card to each donor.
Remember, hospitals in the area use 3,500 pints of blood a week. The need for blood is great. Help ensure that patients get the blood they need.
