Jansen's class is out of this world

Julie Jansen's seventh- and eighth-grade class from Leland Middle School took a Voyage To Mars. The mission was a complete success as students performed hands-on science experiments and team building activities to conclude their mission successfully. Students
had the opportunity to participate on one of eight teams including communication, data, navigation, medical, remote, life support, isolation, probe and press. They moved through both the Space Transport Vehicle and Mars Control as they attempted to launch two probes,
successfully land a new crew to Mars and return another crew back to Earth, as well as save stranded hikers on Mars. The entire class said the experience was challenging and fun; a once in a lifetime opportunity.
