Holiday entertainment at the Opera House

SANDWICH — The Sandwich Opera House offers entertainment for preschoolers through senior citizens in December starting with The Teddy Bear Band on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Children are invited to bring their teddy bears, parents, grandparents and and friends for music and fun.

On Friday, Dec. 14, join Mark Twain as he narrates his classic adventure of America’s most beloved mischief maker, Tom Sawyer, performed by American Eagle Productions. Call the Opera House at 815-786-2555 for remaining show times.

American Eagle Productions return on Friday, Dec. 20 with a fast-paced review featuring more than 20 favorite holiday songs in Jingle Bell Express at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The cost is $3.50 for children and adults accompanied by a child or $5 for adults. Pay at the door the day of the performance.

The Sandwich Opera House offers many unique gifts this season. Purchase gifts or gift certificates for any amount or choose tickets for upcoming events through May 2013. The souvenir case is filled with sweatshirts, T-shirts, note cards, postcards and prints by Joe Dillett; etched mugs, patches and Christmas ornaments.

Gift certificates and store merchandise will be available through Dec. 21 during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
