PLANO — In the summer of 2011, Warner Brothers and DC Comics chose Plano to represent “Smallville” – a special place where a certain super hero came to Earth and spent his childhood days. It was here in Smallville that a mild-mannered boy learned the value of truth, justice and the American way.

The premier Smallville Superfest is set for Aug. 17, 18 and 19. The celebration offers fun-filled events such as Superzip line, barbecue, Smallville photo display, fishing with Plano Mayor Bob Hausler, Superbounce, country market, food vendors, parade, live bands and more. All of these activities will be on Main Street in downtown Plano.

The Smallville Superfest committee already has worked for about eight months finding new and interesting talent and food vendors.
