Electronics recycling event set
SOMONAUK - Do you have a TV taking up closet space? Are the junk drawers filled with cell phones and other gadgets? If so, bring them to Lake Holiday Lodge, 283 Easy St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 16 for recycling.
The Lake Holiday Property Owners Association has teamed up with Vintage Tech Recyclers to provide a certified recycling solution. Vintage Tech is an R2, ISO 14001, and e-Stewards certified company that has partnered with several counties and communities throughout the state to allow residents to drop off electronics free of charge.
Vintage Tech ensures all customers that all electronics are properly handled and recycled and all hard drives are protected using NIST 800-88 compliant software wiping.

Items accepted include computers, laptops, monitors, LCDs, cell phones, printers, scanners, modems, CD drives, cables, keyboards, mice, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, cameras, game players and joysticks, telephones, pagers, answering machines, typewriters, calculators, adding machines, fax machines, copiers and postage meters.
