YORKVILLE – On Monday, April 16, the new Rush-Copley Emergency Center – Yorkville opened. The facility is the first center of its kind in Kendall County and will bring quality emergency care closer to home for thousands of area residents.

Rush-Copley Emergency Center staff includes certified emergency physicians and emergency-trained nurses who offer the expertise and personal attention patients appreciate. The more than 6,000-square foot emergency center has three treatment rooms and a procedure room.

The center features comprehensive diagnostic services including X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, laboratory services and occupational health.

The emergency center delivers treatment 24/7 and, if further attention for hospital-based care is indicated, an on-site ambulance is available for transport.

Rush-Copley Emergency Center will accept ambulances for basic life support emergencies and offers treatment for a variety of illnesses and injuries including broken bones, asthma attacks, deep cuts and other conditions requiring emergency care.

“As a local emergency center, we can keep emergency patients here for more evaluation and testing without immediately sending them on to a hospital,” said Chris Hwang, M.D., medical director of emergency services at Rush-Copley.

“Patients will be able to get the care they need, and in many instances, will be able to leave sooner and be closer to home.”
