PLANO – The Plano American Legion will award two $1,000 scholarships to area students. Eligibility requirements are included in the application.

Applications can be obtained from the Plano High School guidance counselor or by emailing Leon Burson Post 395 scholarship chairman at post395scholarship@gmail.com.

The Barney Ugland Scholarship is available to a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a current Post 395 Legion, Auxiliary or SAL member.

The Plano High School Scholarship is available to a Plano High School graduating senior.

Completed applications must be turned in by May 1 to the Plano High School guidance counselor or the Plano American Legion.
